Download and Install
'C:\Program Files\Biofield Viewer\d3dx9_41.dll is either not designed to run on Windows...'
There's a choice of three solutions.
If updating from an earlier version, request an installer that just does the update (without the Direct3D) that should avoid this issue.
As it's a rare issue we don't have on our own computers I'll be happy to send an alternative installer to see whether it fixes it.
Or, follow the guide below for how to resolve it. Email email@example.com or Facebook message John Catchpole for any help.
For the internet version, follow the instructions below using "Biofield Viewer internet" instead of "Biofield Viewer".
Delete the 'Biofield Viewer 3D' desktop shortcut, as it points to an incorrect installation.
In Windows Explorer rename error message's folder from "C:\Program Files\Biofield Viewer" to "C:\Program Files\Biofield Viewer2".
In Windows Explorer go to the correct installation folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\Biofield Viewer"
Right click on the Auramancy.exe file there and choose 'Create shortcut'.
Move the shortcut file to the desktop
Rename the shortcut to "Biofield Viewer 3D" or "Biofield Viewer 3D internet", and use this to run the program.
Explanation: Windows Installer sometimes installs the program incorrectly, with the combination of Windows 7 and DirectX 9. It creates an incorrect 64 bit folder in 'Program Files' instead of the correct 32 bit folder in 'Program Files (x86)' and links to the wrong one with the desktop shortcut. We will avoid this in the next release by no longer using the D3DX9 library when we move from DirectX 9 to DirectX 11.
